History

Established in 1995, the "Super Troopers" first appeared on the European circuit, playing mostly clubs and functions. Their popularity very quickly began to grow and the show became more elaborate and glamorous, the costumes growing more authentic, some being hand painted and crafted.
As the act grew the band thought that the stage show lacked an edge and a focal point. It also needed something a little bit different. The concept of Bjorn's new 'character' was created by studying footage of the real Bjorn and slightly exaggerating his moves. This, coupled with Dave's interpretation of how Bjorn might be in the 21st century,  became the new emphasis for the show. With the assistance of Jean, the dress maker, they redesigned Bjorn's costumes and created the all-in-one spandex suit, a big hit with the ladies!! The new flaunting and flirting "Swedish sex-god" was born and he instantly became the most popular character with the fans.
Since 1999 the "Super Troopers" have been making the small band in to a wonderfully colourful stage show, calling on the talents of Adrian Allsop (Brian Rogers Studios) to choreograph the  show.
The arrival of Tracey (Agnetha) and Lee (Benny) in  recent years has revitalised the show further, with both new members bringing a freshness to their roles. Sally has since taken a smaller role, concentrating on the sound and lighting, and has given Lydia, who was originally our understudy, to take the part of Frida on, fulltime.
